Caute Capital is a platform for fund managers who do not have an independent AIFM license but want to take advantage of all the benefits that this license offers.
We have a full license in Luxembourg and can serve all asset classes, both liquid and illiquid. With our efficient umbrella structure, we can quickly onboard fund managers. Our platform also offers a community for knowledge exchange and distribution to investors.
THE CHALLENGE FOR FUND MANAGERS
Since the introduction of the AIFM directive in 2013, fund managers have been increasingly confronted with legal rules regarding the origin of funds, reporting to regulators, and internal procedures to meet all requirements. This increases the cost of management, and often managers can therefore focus less on the investment policy.

Many managers reach the limit of EUR 100 million AUM under the registration regime and see the need to apply for the full license (or have other considerations to work under the license) but are deterred by the high application costs (approx. EUR 250,000), the ongoing costs of maintaining the license (approx. EUR 200,000 per year), and the long application process (usually 2 years).
